Starting as a small wayside taverna serving those passing on to the mountains, "Leventis" served traditional Cretan specialties like “kremmidokallitsouna” (mini onion pies), apaki (smoked pork), beans with spaghetti, octopus with local herbs.
"Leventis" became beloved by the critics, and won many awards, great reviews and tributes even from foreign media such as the BBC2.
