The ovens in the bakery of Christopheros Veneris were first lit in 2009, but this fact was not the real beginning. Rather, it would be more correct to say that that event was more the realization of a dream... or even better the accomplishment of a journey, one started a good while ago .. and which in truth goes on today in an exciting and promising manner.
Ovens were the natural habitat of Veneris family. From his grandfather and his father, workers both in a bakery, masters of bread-making, Christopheros Veneris was initiated into the secrets of the art of baking. This family tradition now extends into the fourth generation: Nikos, Christopheros’ son, will take you through the whole operation of the business the next day. What has been passed down from generation to generation – unchanged – is the real passion we have in our work.
Our obsession with quality, regardless of the extra toil, is what has established lasting relationships and trust with our customers. If you want to lay claim to a permanent daily presence on the dining table, you have to be consistent and honest. We have this firmly in mind in all we do – and so we make our bread too.
In our bakery you will find a wide range of breads: French, German and traditional – multigrain, rye, baguettes, focaccia, country-style, made with yogurt, pasties etc. A great variety of rusks, breadsticks, tack, koulouria and biscuits baked with butter and olive oil. Brioches, cakes, sweet buns in a myriad flavors, traditional pies, sticky-sweets and pastries.
