Located 14 km west of Rethymnon and is named from the village very close by, Episkopi is a tremendously long sandy beach, with shallow waters, is open to northerly winds. When the wind is blowing, waves are formed.

Along it are sections organized with umbrellas, sun-beds, a lifeguard, but there are large stretches without all that for those who simply want to spread their towel on the sand.

Also, in the village you will find several restaurants, cafes, bars to enjoy snacks, food, coffee or a beer overlooking the sea. For all these reasons, the spot preferred by locals for a quick swim.
