The original house was built in the 1890s and used to be the house of the German ambassador and his wife. After the renovation in 2014, the building was transformed to the first 5 star hotel in the old harbour of Chania, maintaining its traditional character and style in a great deal.

The rooms and suites of the hotel guarantee ultimate privacy, comfort and relaxation, making them perfect havens for Gay & Lesbian couples on their honeymoon or romantic holidays.

All the rooms and suites of the hotel are named after materials used inside the building - Ceramic, Cement, Metal, Wood, Fabric, Glass and Paper.

The Ceramic Suite is on the upper floor and has been designed with ceramics of the Ambassador's factories - choose to stay in the Ceramic Suite (editors’ favorite), for an even more upgraded staying experience.
The suite has 5 big windows with panoramic sea view and it owns a private roof garden with lounge chairs and a sitting area.

The Glass Room is located on reception's roof garden and has a completely special design.
It has 9 big windows with overview of the entire harbor and on the Megalo Arsenali. The room has one large double bed, a sitting area with sea view and boudoir resp. working desk.

The Fabric Room is on the reception floor and its concept is related to the factories, the German Ambassador built in Crete.
The room has 3 big windows with straight view on the Fortezza and panoramic view over the old harbor. The room has one large double bed, sitting area with sea view and boudoir resp. working desk.

The Wooden Suite is on the reception floor and its concept is wood. You find a various kind of wood design which make you feel warm and comfortable.
The suite has 2 big windows and a balcony with straight view on the light house and panoramic view over the old harbor. The suite has one extra large double bed and one couch bed. Sitting area with sea view and boudoir resp. working desk.

The Metal Suite is on the upper floor and has many metallic aspects. It has 2 big windows with view to the Old Palace and the Megalo Arsenali, and one small with partially side sea view. The room has one extra large bed, a couch bed and boudoir resp. working desk.

The Cement Room is on the upper floor and is designed on the cement tiles of the Ambassador.
It has 1 window with side sea view and view to the Megalo Arsenali. The room has one extra large double bed and a couch. It has a boudoir resp. working desk.

The Porcelain Suite is situated on the first floor of the building and is inspired by one of the Ambassador’s exporting goods, which was porcelain. Its construction is based on traditional Cretan architecture.
It has two levels, the living area and the bathroom are on the first level and the sleeping area on the upper level. Two big windows offer a stunning view to the Megalo Arsenali and the Venetian wall that surrounds the Old Castle.
The room has a double bed, a couch-bed, open closet with a mirror, working desk and bathroom with spa bath and shower.

The Paper Suite is on the reception floor and has been designed on the passion of the Ambassador which were post cards. The suite is designed for disabled guests and is allowing wheel chair access.
It has 3 big windows and a balcony. The suite has view at the Old Palace, the Megalo Arsenali and the entrance of the hotel. The suite has one extra large twin bed and one couch bed. A large sitting area and boudoir resp. working desk.

Continue to the National Road of Soudas - Airport (1.4 km). Keep driving to the National Road and take the Akrotiriou Street to Pireos Str. in Chania (13.8 km). Continue on Pireos and drive to the Akti Tompazi Str. (1.5 km). Turn left onto Akti Tompazi Str. and Ambassadors Residence Luxury Hotel will be on the right.

From Souda Port
Take the 25th Martiou Str. to Souda Avenue (1.2 km). Continue to VOAK/A90/E65 and Kazantzaki Avenue to Agiou Konstantinou Str. in Chania (10 km). Then take the Meletiou Metaxaki Street and Chrisostomou Smirnis Street to Akti Tompazi Str. (1.6 km). Ambassadors Residence Luxury Hotel will be on the right.
